Martin Stuart purchased the business in 1967. In his quest to produce the finest quality burial vaults in the industry, he became a Wilbert licensee in 1973 and Century Wilbert was born.
In 2016 with Martin having been at the helm for almost 50 years, he then sold the company to Peter Ntakos. Peter has 30 years experience in the building trade and has successfully grown his company, Kreitmaker, by providing high quality products and reliable customer service.
Currently, our facilities are located on 7 acres in Toronto, Ontario with over 40,000 square feet of office, warehouse and manufacturing space.

A burial vault is a lined and sealed outer receptacle that houses and protects the casket. They are constructed of high-strength concrete, reinforced with a metal or plastic liner, and provide the most lasting protection. Burial vaults help resist water and provide protection from insects so the contents of the casket are not compromised. They also protect the casket from the weight of the earth and heavy maintenance equipment that will pass over the grave as well as preserve the beauty of the cemetery by preventing the ground from settling. Not to be confused with burial vaults, an outer burial container (or grave box), is an unlined concrete box that is not water resistant. As defined by the National Concrete Burial Vault Association, if an outer burial container is not lined and sealed, it’s not a burial vault.
Century Wilbert provides disinterment services (this service must be pre-arranged through a funeral home / cemetery.) If it becomes necessary to move a vault from one location to another, we can assist with these services. We handle everything from locating the vault to relocating the vault to a new location
Vault Transfer is a service available between Wilbert franchises and dealers. Wilbert Burial Vault uses the vault transfer service when a burial request has been made outside of the franchise territory. The location of the cemetery is needed to determine the appropriate Wilbert franchise or dealer. Since the services offered by each Wilbert franchise vary, the franchises work together on a per burial basis to determine the services needed.
Wilbert Burial Vault is also able to supply crypts, bulk burial vaults and concrete outer burial containers for cemeteries use. Please contact us for further information.
Our “Commemorating First Responders” program provides families of firefighters, law enforcement officers and emergency medical personnel who have died in the line of duty with a tribute worthy of their valor and sacrifice.
At no charge to the family, Wilbert and our licensees donate a customized Wilbert Stainless Steel Triune® burial vault. If the choice is cremation, we offer a selection of four urns, as well as a Stainless Steel Triune urn vault for memorial tribute. If permitted, a WilbertWay® graveside service may also be included.
Join us as we help families honor heroic lives, sacrificed in valiant service to neighbor and community.
